Hands-on logistics coordination

Complex freight, managed across every handoff.

Gulfhawk coordinates ocean exports, bulk-liquid shipments, intermodal freight, humanitarian and project cargo, and the domestic transportation that supports those moves—with active planning across multiple providers.

Principal capabilities

Four ways Gulfhawk takes on difficult freight

Each service is built around the same operating principle: plan the complete move, clarify the handoffs, and stay directly involved when the shipment does not fit a routine transaction.

When Gulfhawk is a good fit

Freight that needs judgment, not just a portal rate

The common thread is operational complexity: several parties, unusual requirements, or handoffs that need one person maintaining the complete picture.

  • Multiple transportation providers or pickup points
  • Difficult or less-common destinations
  • Nonstandard loading, packing, or equipment constraints
  • Bulk liquids requiring equipment, payload, and discharge planning
  • Longer-haul intermodal evaluation
  • International documentation and provider handoffs
  • Humanitarian, nonprofit, or volunteer stakeholders
  • Cargo requiring active coordination rather than portal-only quoting

Completed humanitarian project

Nearly 200 solar panels delivered from Montana to Kharkiv

Gulfhawk coordinated receipt, packing, transportation, and container shipments for approximately four metric tons of donated solar equipment destined for Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.

How Gulfhawk works

Stay ahead of the seams between providers

The value is not another forwarded status update. It is a complete operating view of the shipment and active follow-through when conditions change.

  1. 01

    Plan the complete move

Review cargo, loading, inland transportation, routing, documents, timing, and delivery requirements together.

  2. 02

    Coordinate the providers

Keep shippers, warehouses, truckers, forwarding partners, terminals, consignees, and project participants aligned.

  3. 03

    Identify operational risks early

Address equipment, access, cutoffs, appointments, free time, packing, and responsibility gaps before dispatch.

  4. 04

    Stay involved through delivery

Follow exceptions through the handoffs and keep the relevant parties working from the same information.

Intermodal Freight

Use rail when the complete lane supports it

Gulfhawk evaluates longer-haul domestic opportunities across the rail linehaul, origin and destination drayage, terminal cutoffs, equipment, transit requirements, and likely accessorials.

Intermodal can offer a strong operating alternative, but it is not automatically the correct answer. When speed, ramp access, cargo characteristics, or added handoffs work against the move, truckload may remain preferable.

Ocean Export Coordination

Manage the origin and international handoff as one plan

Gulfhawk coordinates origin LTL or truckload, container drayage, loading, routing review, documentation handoffs, free-time considerations, and destination planning.

Ocean transportation is coordinated through established licensed forwarding partners, while Gulfhawk keeps the origin work, documentation handoffs, and destination planning aligned.
